Investors in Cricket
Investors in Cricket (IIC) was formed in 2005 by a group of businessmen and entrepreneurs, and specialized in the creation and management of sports rights. The company quickly had a series of significant rights, which included:
- Cricket Star, an interactive cricket reality talent hunt show
- The International Twenty-20 Club Championships, the Champions League of Cricket
Emerging Media, a media-property development business, acquired Investors in Cricket in early 2007. At the same time, it launched its first property, Cricket Star that became the first major simulcast reality show on DoorDarshan (the public television network of India) and the Zee Network. It is in the process of launching "Soccer Star" in partnership with Liverpool Football Club and the AIFF.
